  • Project Title: Coal to Chemical Sensors: Conversion of low-grade coal to carbon dots-based smart sensing strips for on-site monitoring of heavy metals in water bodies around coal fields

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Development of carbon-dot based optical sensors

  • Analysis of heavy metals in water samples

  • Field visits to BCCL, Dhanbad (Jharkhand) for sample collection

  • Possible short-term work at NIT Jamshedpur for analysis


Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

  • Ph.D. in Chemistry


Desired Experience

  • Experience in:

    • Preparation of nanomaterial-based optical sensors

    • Carbon dots-based fluorescence sensors

  • Strong publication record in relevant research area


Salary & Benefits

  • Monthly Emoluments: INR 69,600/- (INR 58,000 + 20% HRA)
