South Asian University (SAU) invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF-funded research project. The selected candidate may also be considered for admission to the PhD programme at South Asian University, subject to university rules.

Duration

The appointment will initially be for one year. It may be extended annually based on satisfactory performance for up to three years or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Fellowship

• First two years: INR 37,000 per month plus HRA

• Third year: INR 42,000 per month plus HRA

Minimum Qualification and Eligibility

Applicants should possess:

• M.Sc., MS or M.Tech. in Mathematics with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA.

• A valid NET/GATE qualification, wherever applicable.

Project Description

The project aims to develop and analyse structure-preserving finite element discretisations and optimisation methods for time-dependent Maxwell’s equations within the framework of PDE-constrained optimisation.

PhD Opportunity

The selected candidate may be considered for admission to the PhD programme at South Asian University, subject to fulfilment of the university’s admission rules and eligibility requirements.
