“Socio-Cultural Impact Assessment of the Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005: A Study of Jodhpur District”

This opportunity is ideal for researchers with expertise in law, sociology, social work, and socio-legal studies who are interested in contributing to an important interdisciplinary research project examining the socio-cultural implications of legal reforms in India.

Duration

Two Months (Tentatively September – October 2026)

Stipend

INR 80,000 (Lump Sum)

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess any of the following qualifications:

• Ph.D. in:

  • Law

  • Sociology

  • Social Work

OR

• M.A. in Sociology

• M.A. in Social Work

• LL.M. in Law with specialization in:

  • Family Law

  • Property Law

  • Socio-Legal Studies

Desired Skills and Experience

Candidates should have:

• Strong research and qualitative analysis skills

• Experience with qualitative research software such as NVivo (preferred)

• Excellent academic and report-writing abilities

• Publications in relevant academic fields (preferred)

• Reading knowledge of Hindi

Key Responsibilities

The selected Research Associate will be responsible for:

• Conducting thematic data analysis

• Assisting in report preparation and academic publication writing

• Coordinating with stakeholders, including High Court representatives

• Supporting project-related research and documentation activities
