About the WILL Initiative

The Women's Inclusion and Leadership in Law (WILL) Initiative is housed within the Centre for the Study of the Legal Profession at NLSIU. The initiative seeks to strengthen women's participation and leadership in litigation through:

• Evidence-based research on women in the legal profession.

• Promoting inclusive and equitable workplace practices.

• Professional development and legal capacity-building programmes.

• Creating platforms for networking, collaboration, and knowledge exchange among women lawyers across India.

Role Overview

The selected Research Associates will work closely with the Project Director and the Centre's faculty leadership to support the implementation of the WILL Initiative through research, programme execution, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Selected candidates will:

• Conduct research on gender, law, and the legal profession.

• Support research projects, surveys, reports, and policy publications.

• Assist in implementing project activities and institutional initiatives.

• Organize workshops, consultations, and outreach programmes.

• Coordinate with legal professionals, researchers, and partner organizations.

• Contribute to evidence-based initiatives aimed at advancing gender-responsive legal systems.
