The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal is inviting applications for a Research Associate-I (RA-I) position to work on a specialized research project focused on sustainable energy storage solutions.
Project Information
Project Title: Dual activated Synthesis of Mesoporous Carbon from Wood Apple Shells Using $H_3PO_4$ and KOH for High-Performance Sodium-Ion Battery Electrodes.
Sponsoring Agency: ANRF.
Duration: 3 years.
Job Nature: Research in the field of Dual activated Synthesis of Sodium-Ion Battery Electrodes.
Eligibility & Qualifications
Educational Background:
B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Metallurgy Engineering with first class.
ME/M.Tech in Production, Manufacturing, Industrial, Additive Manufacturing, Material Science, CIM, CAD-CAM, or equivalent with first class.
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering / Metallurgy is Mandatory (Allied branches related to the project may also apply).
Minimum Marks: 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA for GEN/OBC-NCL; 55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD.
Age Limit: 42 years (Relaxations provided for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Female candidates as per Govt. of India norms).
Desired Skills: Knowledge of battery fundamentals, carbon materials, electrochemistry, and various characterization techniques like SEM, TEM, XRD, and XPS.
Emoluments & Benefits
Fellowship: INR 58,000/- plus 16% HRA.
Accommodation: HRA provided as per institute norms.
