The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded research project. Project Title
Development of Cyber-Resilient Distributed Control and Protection of Microgrid
The project aims to develop advanced cyber-resilient control and protection schemes for modern microgrid systems, focusing on reliable operation, renewable energy integration, and secure power system management.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification
Candidates must possess:
Bachelor's Degree
B.Tech./B.E. in:
Electrical Engineering
Electrical & Electronics Engineering
with:
First Class
Minimum 60% aggregate marks or
CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale
Master's Degree
M.Tech. in any of the following specializations:
Power Systems
Power Engineering
Smart Grid
Power Electronics and Drives
Energy Systems
Renewable Energy
Smart Grid Technologies
Electrical Engineering
Or closely related specializations aligned with Power Systems Engineering
Preference
Preference will be given to candidates with a valid GATE qualification, though it is not mandatory.
Desired Qualifications
Applicants should have strong knowledge in:
Power System Analysis
Microgrids
Cyber Security for Power Systems
Renewable Energy Control
Electric Vehicles
Smart Grid Technologies
Software Skills
Experience with:
MATLAB
PSCAD
Power System Simulation Tools
will be highly desirable.
Additional Advantage
Preference will be given to candidates having hands-on experience in:
DC–DC Converter Design
AC–DC Converter Design
Experimental Validation of Power Electronic Converters
Microgrid Control Systems
Job Responsibilities
The selected JRF will work on:
Development of AC microgrid hardware.
Design and implementation of cyber-resilient control schemes.
Protection system development and validation.
Power system modeling and simulation.
Experimental studies on microgrid operation and security.
Research publication and project documentation.
