The National Institute of Technology Warangal has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an Accelerated Research for 6G Ecosystem project funded through the Telecom Technology Development Fund, Department of Telecommunications.
The selected candidate will contribute to the design and development of high-frequency analog components and systems for emerging 6G applications.

Project Title
“Design and Development of an Analog Front End at 210–255 GHz for 6G Applications”
Essential Qualifications
Candidates should meet the prescribed academic requirements, including:
Minimum 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at undergraduate and postgraduate levels for General, EWS and OBC-NCL candidates
Minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC, ST and PwD candidates
Eligible academic backgrounds include:
B.Tech./B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or an equivalent discipline
M.Tech./M.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering or an equivalent area, preferably with research exposure in antennas and microwave engineering
Candidates holding a relevant bachelor’s degree with the higher CGPA or percentage requirements prescribed in the notification may also be considered.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge or experience in:
Cadence Virtuoso
Advanced Design System
Schematic design and layout
Layout versus schematic verification
Design-rule checking
GDSII generation
Low-noise amplifiers
Downconverters
Phase-locked loop circuits
System-level RF design
Antenna and microwave engineering
Research Responsibilities
The selected candidate will contribute to:
Analysis and design of low-noise amplifiers
Development of downconverters and phase-locked loop circuits
Circuit simulation using Cadence Virtuoso and ADS
System-level design and optimisation
Fabrication-related design verification
RF testing and characterisation of circuits and systems
Preparation of research reports and technical documentation
Fellowship
Candidates selected through a recognised national eligibility examination such as CSIR-UGC NET or GATE will receive:
INR 37,000 per month plus HRA during the first and second years.
Candidates without a recognised national eligibility qualification will receive:
INR 30,000 per month plus HRA during the first and second years.
The fellowship may be enhanced to the Senior Research Fellow level based on performance and applicable rules.
Age Limit
General and General-EWS: 30 years
OBC-NCL: 33 years
SC, ST, PwD and female candidates: 35 years
Age relaxation will be governed by applicable rules.
Accommodation and HRA
HRA will be provided according to institute rules. Accommodation, where available, will be subject to NIT Warangal regulations.
