Position Details

Project Title

Design and Development of Enhanced Flame Retardant Silicone Rubber Insulation Reinforced with Cost Effective Rare Earth Fillers for Outdoor High Voltage Applications

The project aims to develop advanced insulation materials for high-voltage applications by improving flame-retardant properties and enhancing reliability using innovative rare-earth filler technologies.

Essential Qualification

Candidates must possess:

• M.E./M.Tech./Equivalent Degree in:

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Electrical Technology

  • Or related disciplines in Electrical Engineering

Desired Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Qualified CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship) or GATE.

• Strong academic background and research aptitude.

• Interest in High Voltage Engineering and Electrical Insulation Materials.

Note

Candidates who do not possess CSIR-UGC NET or GATE qualification may be required to appear for a written test conducted by NIT Warangal as per institute guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

The selected JRF will be involved in:

• Research and development of advanced silicone rubber insulation materials.

• Characterization and testing of high-voltage insulation systems.

• Experimental investigations and data analysis.

• Research publications and project documentation.
