Next-Generation Molecular Dynamics Study to Elucidate Nucleation and Crystallization Mechanisms in Gas Storage Materials

About the Project

The research aims to develop advanced molecular dynamics (MD) simulation frameworks to investigate nucleation and crystallization mechanisms in gas storage materials such as Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), clathrate hydrates, and porous materials. The project integrates Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) with atomistic simulations to accelerate materials discovery and optimize structure–property relationships for sustainable energy and gas storage applications.

Eligibility Criteria

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Applicants should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech. with First Class (minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computational Materials Science, Nanotechnology, or a related discipline.

• OR M.E./M.Tech. with First Class in relevant disciplines.

• Valid GATE qualification is mandatory as per ANRF guidelines.

Project Associate-I

Applicants should possess:

• M.E./M.Tech. with First Class (minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Computational Materials Science, Nanotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Data Science, or related disciplines.

• Relevant B.E./B.Tech. degree with First Class.

• GATE/NET qualification is preferred, though not mandatory unless required by the funding agency.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of:

• Computational Materials Research

• Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulations

• Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML)

• Python Programming

• Linux Environment

• High-Performance Computing (HPC)
