The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF-sponsored research project in the area of advanced materials and electrochemical engineering. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in Metallurgical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or Nanoscience to contribute to cutting-edge research on high-entropy alloy coatings.

Project Title

Electrochemical Fabrication of Structurally Gradient Multifunctional High Entropy Alloy (HEA) Coatings: Experimental Insights and Data-driven Predictive Modelling of FeCoNiMnV for Structural and Electrochemical Applications

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month for the first two years

• INR 42,000 per month for the third year

• HRA as per Government of India and ANRF norms

Selected candidates may also be eligible for on-campus hostel and mess facilities, subject to availability.

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

• B.Tech./B.E. in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with the required academic performance as specified in the notification.

• M.Sc. in Materials Science or Nanoscience & Nanotechnology with M.Tech. in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, Surface Engineering, or a related discipline.

GATE qualification is not mandatory, though preference will be given to candidates qualified in GATE/UGC/CSIR/INSPIRE/NET or other relevant national-level examinations.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having experience in:

• Physical Metallurgy

• Electrochemistry

• Coating fabrication

• Materials characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, XRD, etc.)

• Predictive modelling and data-driven materials research

Age Limit

• 30 years for GEN/EWS candidates

• 33 years for OBC-NCL candidates

• 35 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates

Age relaxation for female candidates is applicable as per the notification.
