ANRF Sponsored Research Project – Department of ECE

The National Institute of Technology Warangal has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF-sponsored research project in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

The project focuses on developing an AI-guided Smart Point-of-Care Device for Early Detection of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in Rural and Urban Areas.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy any one of the following qualifications:

Educational Qualification

Option 1

• Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in both UG and PG for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL categories

• Minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD candidates

Option 2

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with:

  • Minimum 7.5/10 CGPA or 70% marks for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL

  • Minimum 7.0/10 CGPA or 65% marks for SC/ST/PwD

Required Degrees

• B.Tech./B.E. in:

  • Electronics & Communication Engineering

  • Electronics Engineering

  • Equivalent disciplines

AND/OR

• M.Tech./M.E. with specialization in:

  • Embedded Systems

  • Machine Learning Systems

  • Signal & Image Processing

  • VLSI System Design

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Computer Vision

Desired Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Knowledge of Image Processing and Computer Vision

• Medical Image Processing experience

• Edge-AI knowledge

• Programming proficiency in:

  • Python

  • MATLAB

• Publications or patents in:

  • Machine Learning

  • Deep Learning

  • Medical Imaging

  • Computer Vision

Fellowship / Salary

Candidates with NET/GATE Qualification

• INR 37,000 + HRA (1st & 2nd Year)

• INR 42,000 + HRA (3rd Year after assessment and upgradation to SRF)

Candidates without NET/GATE Qualification

• INR 30,000 + HRA (1st & 2nd Year)

• INR 33,000 + HRA (3rd Year after assessment and upgradation to SRF)

HRA will be provided as per institute rules.

Age Limit

Roles & Responsibilities

Selected candidates will work on:

• AI-based healthcare device development

• Image and signal processing

• Computer vision model development

• Embedded and Edge-AI implementation

• Research publication and project activities
