The National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) invites applications for the position of Research Associate-I (RA-I) under an ANRF-sponsored research project in the Department of Mathematics. The project focuses on computational modelling and artificial intelligence applications in biofluid mechanics and ophthalmic research.

Project Title

Computational Modeling and Prediction of Intraocular Lens Implication Using CFD and Artificial Neural Network

Fellowship

• Emoluments: INR 58,000 per month + HRA

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should possess:

• Ph.D. in Mathematics, Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are awaiting the award of the degree are also eligible to apply.

• Applicants from allied disciplines relevant to the project may also apply.

Academic Requirements

• Minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates.

• Minimum 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG levels for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

• At least two research papers published in Science Citation Index (SCI) journals.

Desired Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

• Working knowledge and experience in Biofluid Mechanics

• Experience in Artificial Neural Networks (ANN)

• Proficiency in software tools such as:

  • ANSYS Fluent

  • OpenFOAM

  • COMSOL

  • MATLAB

  • CAD tools

Job Nature

The selected candidate will work on:

• Biofluid Mechanics modelling

• Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)

• Artificial Neural Network-based prediction models for intraocular lens applications
