The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a contractual basis in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The position is available under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India-funded project titled “Innovative Perovskite-Based Nanoelectronics for Medical and Industrial X-Ray Imaging.”
The appointment is initially for three years or until project completion, whichever is earlier.

Fellowship
The selected candidate will receive:
INR 37,000 per month + HRA for the first two years.
INR 42,000 per month + HRA for the third year, as per institute norms.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
Postgraduate Degree in Engineering/Technology, OR
Postgraduate Degree in Basic Sciences with specialization in:
Electronics
Nanotechnology
Physics
Chemistry
Or equivalent disciplines.
For Undergraduate Candidates
Candidates with an undergraduate degree in Engineering/Technology are eligible only if they have:
Qualified GATE/NET or any national-level examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies.
However, possessing a valid GATE score is not mandatory.
Minimum Academic Requirements
OBC-NCL/EWS/Open Category: Minimum 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in Master's degree.
SC/ST Category: Minimum 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale or 55% marks in Master's degree.
Desirable Qualifications
Candidates with academic backgrounds in the following disciplines will be preferred:
