Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Vacancy Under ANRF Sponsored Research Project

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF-sponsored research project titled:

“Development of a Health Monitoring System Based on Quartz-Enhanced Photoacoustic Spectroscopic Technique for Detection of Biomarkers in the Human Exhaled Breath Matrix.”

The project is sanctioned for a period of three years and is being carried out in collaboration with IIT Madras.

Note: Fellowship will be paid as per ANRF norms.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess any one of the following qualifications:

• M.Tech. in Electronics / Electrical / VLSI / Mechatronics / Optics / Optoelectronics or related field

OR

• B.Tech. degree with valid GATE score

OR

• MS (Research) degree in a relevant discipline

AND

• CSIR-UGC NET qualification or valid GATE score.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Knowledge of MATLAB.

• Experience with LABVIEW.

• Familiarity with CAD software.

• Working knowledge of SOLIDWORKS.

• Interest in optics and photonics sensors.

• Interest in hardware development and experimental research.

Age Limit

Age Relaxation Applicable For:

• OBC Candidates

• Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

• Female Candidates

Preference will be given to SC/ST and Female candidates as per Government of India rules.

Job Conditions

• The position is purely temporary.

• Appointment is co-terminus with the project.

• Continuation will be subject to annual performance review.

• The selected candidate will be expected to travel and stay at IIT Madras whenever required for project-related work.

PhD Opportunity

The selected JRF will have the opportunity to register for a PhD programme at NIT Raipur in the appropriate department.

However, admission to the PhD programme will be subject to:

• Fulfilment of eligibility criteria.

• Qualification in the written examination.

• Successful performance in the interview process.
