The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur, an Institute of National Importance, has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a sponsored research project in the Department of Information Technology. Fellowship

• Fellowship: INR 37,000 per month + HRA (18%)

• Total Monthly Fellowship: INR 43,660 per month

Research Project

Project Title:
"Intelligent Cyber Threat Detection and Forensic Analysis System"

Research Areas:

• Machine Learning

• Deep Learning

• Cyber Security

• Internet of Things (IoT)

Sponsoring Agency: SERB (CRG)

Project Duration

• Initially up to 31 January 2027

• Likely to be extended by 6 months, subject to project continuation and satisfactory performance.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• B.E./B.Tech. degree in CSE/IT/Data Science/AI & ML or equivalent,

OR

• M.E./M.Tech. degree in CSE/IT/Data Science/AI & ML or any relevant branch,

from an Institute of National Importance/AICTE-approved University/Institution with:

• Minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA (out of 10).

Preference will be given to GATE/NET qualified candidates.

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates having the following will be preferred:

• Strong knowledge of Machine Learning and Deep Learning

• Hands-on experience in Python programming

• Cybersecurity knowledge

• Research publication(s), if any

Selection Process

• Applications will be shortlisted based on eligibility.

• Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email.

• Final selection will be based on interview performance.

• Walk-in Interview: 27 July 2026 (Monday)

• Reporting Time: 3:00 PM onwards

• Venue: Department of Information Technology, NIT Raipur

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

• The appointment is temporary and purely project-based.

• Selected candidates may get an opportunity to enroll for a Ph.D. at NIT Raipur, subject to institute norms.
