Project Title

Water Bodies Segmentation and Change Detection from Satellite Imagery Using Deep Learning Models

Essential Qualification

Applicants should possess one of the following:

• PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a relevant discipline

OR

• M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, along with:

  • At least three years of research, teaching, design, or development experience after M.Tech.

  • At least two research papers in Science Citation Indexed journals

Desirable Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Machine learning and deep learning

• Remote sensing and GIS applications

• Training and deploying predictive models

• Satellite imagery analysis

• Programming languages, libraries, and frameworks relevant to AI and geospatial research

Age Limit

Applicants should preferably be below 40 years of age.

Fellowship

The selected candidate will receive:

INR 58,000 per month plus HRA

Key Responsibilities

The selected Research Associate may be expected to:

• Develop deep-learning models for water-body segmentation

• Analyse satellite imagery and identify temporal changes

• Process remote-sensing and geospatial datasets

• Evaluate and optimise model performance

• Prepare research reports and publications

• Support project documentation and technical presentations

• Collaborate with the project team and external research partners
