The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela has invited applications for the position of State Program Manager under the UNICEF-funded project “Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Public Health Nutrition.” The appointment is purely temporary and contractual and offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale public health and nutrition initiatives across Odisha.

Essential Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
Master's degree in Public Health, Sociology, Economics, Population Studies, Rural Development, or related disciplines.
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in managing development projects.
Fluency in English and Hindi (knowledge of Odia is desirable).
Desirable Qualification
Experience working in the international development or humanitarian sector, particularly with organizations within the United Nations system.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Coordinating and liaising with OLM, UNICEF, and district/block-level officials across Odisha.
Supporting implementation and monitoring of project activities across all 30 districts.
Planning and reviewing meetings at state, district, and block levels.
Monitoring project outputs and progress indicators and preparing reports.
Conducting field visits to support Regional Program Coordinators and Poshan Sakhis.
Facilitating training programs, stakeholder consultations, and review meetings.
Identifying implementation gaps and recommending corrective actions.
Assisting in documentation, analysis, and reporting related to project activities.
Undertaking additional project-related assignments as directed by the Principal Investigator.
