The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Kurukshetra has invited applications from eligible Indian nationals for one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored research project. The position offers an opportunity to work on advanced research in compliant mechanisms for medical applications and pursue a Ph.D. at NIT Kurukshetra, subject to institute norms.

Position Overview

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• Full-time B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering

• Full-time M.E./M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering (preferably Machine Design specialization)

• Minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CPI/CGPA from a recognized institute/university

• Qualified GATE candidates will be preferred

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

• Topology Optimization

• Relevant work experience in national laboratories or academic institutions

• Research publications in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals

Fellowship

Candidates selected through CSIR-UGC NET or GATE will receive:

• INR 37,000 + HRA per month (1st & 2nd Year)

• INR 42,000 + HRA per month (3rd Year, after successful assessment and upgradation to SRF)

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Work under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

• Carry out research activities and complete project deliverables within the stipulated timeline.

• Contribute to research related to compliant mechanisms for medical applications.

• Be eligible to apply for admission to the Ph.D. programme at NIT Kurukshetra, subject to institute rules.
