National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I (PA-I) under an ANRF PM-ECRG sponsored research project in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Position Details

• Project Duration: Initially 1 year, extendable up to 3 years based on performance.

• Project Type: Temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Project Title

Few-shot Learning for Rapid Multi-Parametric MRI Reconstruction from Sparsely Sampled Weighted MRI Data

Fellowship

For Candidates with Valid GATE/NET Score

• INR 37,000 per month (1st & 2nd Year)

• INR 42,000 per month (3rd Year)

• 20% HRA (subject to non-availability of hostel accommodation)

For Candidates without GATE/NET (Project Associate-I)

• INR 30,000 per month (1st & 2nd Year)

• INR 33,000 per month (3rd Year)

• 20% HRA (subject to non-availability of hostel accommodation)

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• Four-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  OR

• Master's degree in Natural Sciences with specialization in:

  • Computer Science

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Electronics and Communication Engineering

• Valid GATE/NET qualification (for JRF position).

Note: Candidates awaiting final semester results are also eligible to apply. However, such candidates will be considered only for the Project Associate-I position.

Desirable Skills

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Programming using C/C++, Python, and MATLAB

• Deep Learning for medical imaging and artificial intelligence

• Advanced MRI acquisition techniques

Age Limit

• Maximum 50 years as on the last date of application.

• Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work on:

• AI and deep learning techniques for MRI acquisition optimization.

• MRI image reconstruction and analysis.

• Development of advanced medical imaging algorithms.

• Collaborative interdisciplinary research in medical imaging and artificial intelligence.
