Project Associate-II Recruitment 2026 at NIT Hamirpur (ANRF Funded Project)

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for the position of Project Associate-II under an ANRF-funded research project in the Department of Electrical Engineering.

The project is being carried out under the Mission for Advancement in High-impact Areas (MAHA): EV-Mission Scheme and focuses on advanced technologies for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Project Title

“Development of High-Power Grid-Friendly Conductive and Static Wireless Chargers for Electric Vehicles”

Funding Agency: Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), New Delhi

Scheme: MAHA – EV Mission


Essential Qualifications

Candidates must satisfy any one of the following criteria:

Option 1

  • B.E./B.Tech. with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Electrical & Electronics Engineering

    • Allied Engineering Disciplines

  • NET/GATE qualified

  • Minimum 2 years of R&D experience in academic institutions, industry, science & technology organizations, or scientific services as per ANRF guidelines.

Option 2

  • M.E./M.Tech. with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in:

    • Electrical Engineering

    • Power Electronics

    • Electric Vehicles

    • Renewable Energy

    • Energy Systems

    • Power Systems

    • Instrumentation & Control

    • Control Engineering

    • High Voltage Engineering

    • Electrical & Electronics Engineering

    • Relevant allied disciplines


Research Area

The selected candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research related to:

  • Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Technologies

  • Wireless Power Transfer Systems

  • High-Power Conductive Chargers

  • Grid-Friendly Charging Infrastructure

  • Renewable Energy Integration

  • Power Electronics and Control Systems
