Project Title

Grid Readiness for Electrical Vehicle (EV): Enablers and Technological Developments (GREET)

Funding Agency

The position is part of a collaborative R&D project with IIT Kanpur as the Lead Institute, sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).

Project Focus

The GREET project focuses on assessing and improving the readiness of electrical distribution grids for large-scale electric vehicle adoption. Major research areas include:

  • EV charging infrastructure and distribution grids

  • Power quality, operation and protection

  • Optimal planning of EV charging and battery swapping stations

  • Grid constraints and climate variability

  • Optimal scheduling of EV charging and discharging

  • Advanced power converter control schemes

  • Power factor control and grid stability

  • Renewable energy integration

  • Development of software packages and mobile applications

Minimum Required Qualifications

Candidates should possess either:

  • A four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Science Engineering or Technology from a recognised university or equivalent; OR

  • M.E./M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer Science Engineering.
