NIT Calicut Invites Applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position in Electrical Engineering

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, through its Office of Research and Consultancy, has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a sponsored research project in the Department of Electrical Engineering. The project is funded by CPRI (Central Power Research Institute) and focuses on developing AI-powered diagnostic methods for three-phase power transformers using Sweep Frequency Response Analysis (SFRA). Essential Qualification

• B.Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

• Valid GATE/NET score

Desirable Qualification

• M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering

• GATE/NET qualified

Age Limit

• 35 Years

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month + 20% HRA

• Last Date to Submit Application: 14 July 2026

• Offline Interview Date: 20 July 2026

Selection Process

• Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an Offline Interview.

• Interview invitations will be communicated via email.

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
