NIT Calicut Recruitment 2026 for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut has invited applications for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Associate-I (PA-I) under an ANRF-ECRG funded research project in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

The selected candidate will work on an advanced semiconductor manufacturing research project focused on corrosion inhibition and predictive modelling.

Essential Qualifications

For Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Candidates should possess:

• Master's and Bachelor's degree in:

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Materials Engineering

  • Production Engineering

  • Electrochemistry

  • Or any related discipline from a recognized university

• First Class throughout the qualifying degrees

• Valid GATE/NET qualification

For Project Associate-I (PA-I)

Candidates should possess:

• Master's and Bachelor's degree in:

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Materials Engineering

  • Production Engineering

  • Electrochemistry

  • Or any related discipline from a recognized university

• First Class throughout the qualifying degrees

Desirable Skills

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of:

• Electrochemistry

• Corrosion science

• Mathematical and computational analysis

Fellowship

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF): INR 37,000 per month + 20% HRA

• Project Associate-I (PA-I): INR 30,000 per month + 20% HRA
