The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, Office of Research and Consultancy, has invited applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) / Project Associate-I on a contractual basis for a DRDO-sponsored research project in the Mechanical Engineering Department. Eligible candidates will be selected through an online interview.

Project Details

Project Title:
Experimental Investigation of Galvanic and Stray Current Corrosion in Marine Bronze Due to the Influence of Micro-Structural Features in Simulated Marine Atmosphere

Funding Agency:
NPOL, DRDO

Duration

• 4 Months

• Salary will be released subject to fund availability.

• Selected candidate will have an opportunity to apply for Ph.D. admission at NIT Calicut.

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 + 20% HRA per month for candidates possessing a valid GATE score in Mechanical/Materials/Production/Chemical Engineering.

• INR 30,000 + 20% HRA per month for candidates not fulfilling the above criterion.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Production, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines from a recognized university with first class.

AND

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Production, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines from a recognized university with first class.

Desirable Qualification

• Good understanding of microstructural characterization and corrosion analysis.
