The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut), through its Office of Research and Consultancy, has announced a Hybrid Interview for the recruitment of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a sponsored research project in Chemical Engineering.

Position Overview

Project Details

• Project Title:
  Development of a Catalyst System for Sustainable C8–C18 Liquid Fuel Production from Lignocellulosic Biomass and Real-Time Performance Evaluation in CI Engines

• Funding Agency:
  Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF)

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• M.Tech / M.E / M.S (by Research) / M.Sc or equivalent in Engineering/Technology
  AND

• Must be CSIR-UGC NET / GATE qualified

OR

• B.Tech / B.E (or integrated degree) with:

  • First class (≥ 60% or 6.5 CGPA)

  • Valid NET/GATE qualification

Desirable Skills

• Knowledge in:

  • Heat Transfer

  • Fuels & Energy Systems

  • Internal Combustion (IC) Engines

  • Catalyst Design

  • Biomass to Biofuels Conversion

  • Reaction Engineering

  • Thermochemical Conversion Techniques

Fellowship & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: INR 37,000 + 20% HRA

• Opportunity to work on advanced sustainable fuel technologies

Age Limit

• Maximum: 30 years
