The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh is inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position. This role is part of a research project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) in the Department of Civil Engineering.

Project Details

• Project Title: Development of Operating Speed Models using Continuous Speed Profiles for Geometric Design Consistency of Multi Lane Rural Highways.

• Principal Investigator: Dr. Regulus Dominic K Shallam.

• Duration: Initially for 1 year (Extendable up to 3 years based on performance and fund availability).

• Vacancies: 01 Post.

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications (Any one of the following):

1. M.E./M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering or relevant/equivalent streams (with or without a valid GATE score).

2. B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering from NITs/Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a minimum CGPA of 7.5 or above.

Minimum Marks Requirement:

• UR/EWS/OBC-NCL: 60% aggregate marks (or CGPA of 6.5).

• SC/ST/PwD: 55% aggregate marks (or CGPA of 6.0).

Desirable Skills:

• Strong orientation towards Data Collection and Statistical Analysis.

• Results compilation, Report Preparation, and Technical Writing.

• Proficiency in Coding and Social skills.

• Ph.D. Opportunity: Selected candidates are encouraged to register for a full-time Ph.D. at NIT Andhra Pradesh, subject to institute requirements.
