Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines
ANDM.Tech / M.E. / M.Sc (or equivalent) in:
Remote Sensing / Geoinformatics
Earth System Science / Atmospheric Science
Hydrology / Water Resources Engineering
Civil Engineering (Water Resources specialization)
Statistics / Applied Mathematics
Computer Science (AI/ML, Image Processing)
Minimum Marks:
60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA (General/OBC/EWS)
Relaxation as per Government norms (SC/ST/PwD)
Desirable Qualifications / Experience
Candidates with any of the following will be preferred:
CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS) / UGC-NET
Valid GATE score
Selection through national-level exams (DST/ISRO norms)
Experience in microwave remote sensing (SAR data – L-band, S-band)
Familiarity with NISAR mission data / Sentinel-1 / SMAP datasets
Strong background in:
Stochastic modelling / signal processing
Machine learning / data-driven modelling
Programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or R
Experience with GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS)
Fellowship
As per ISRO/DST norms (typically ₹37,000 + HRA for first two years, ₹42,000 in third year based on performance)
