National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a high-impact project sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). The project, titled "Development of an AI-based automated system for the detection and classification of gastrointestinal diseases," aims to revolutionize healthcare by integrating advanced Artificial Intelligence with medical diagnostics.

Remuneration & Tenure

• Fellowship: * INR 37,000/- per month + 16% HRA (for candidates with GATE/NET).

  • INR 31,000/- per month + 16% HRA (for candidates without GATE/NET).

• Tenure: Initially for 01 year, extendable based on performance and the total duration of the project.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification: M.E./M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA (60% marks).

• Technical Skills: Candidates must have a strong foundation in Signal/Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. Proficiency in programming languages like Python or MATLAB is essential.

• Desirable: Prior experience in medical image analysis or AI-driven healthcare research.
