The ICAR-National Institute for Plant Biotechnology has invited applications from Indian nationals for the temporary position of Research Associate under the project:

“ICAR Network Project on Translational Genomics in Crop Plants”

The engagement will be purely contractual and interviews may be conducted in online or walk-in mode.

Fellowship

For Master’s Degree Holders

• INR 61,000 per month + 30% HRA

For Ph.D. Degree Holders

• INR 67,000 per month + 30% HRA

Essential Qualifications

For Ph.D. Candidates

Ph.D. degree in:

• Molecular Biology

• Biotechnology

• Molecular Biology & Biotechnology

• Biochemistry

• Bioinformatics

with specialization in Plant Science.

For Master’s Degree Candidates

Master’s degree in the above-mentioned disciplines with:

• 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree

• First division or 60% marks or equivalent overall GPA

• Minimum 3 years of research experience supported by fellowship/associateship/training or other engagements as per DST norms

• At least one research paper in SCI/NAAS-rated journals

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Strong background in bioinformatics

• Proficiency in Python and R programming

• Experience in whole-genome assembly and data analysis

• High-quality research publications
