The ICAR–National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (ICAR-NAARM), Hyderabad invites applications from eligible candidates for the positions of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Project Assistant (PA) under an ANRF-funded research project titled "Development of Decision-Support Geospatial-Techno-Economic Fusion Models for Entrepreneurial Scalability and Acceleration of Indigenous Mariculture Technologies." The recruitment will be conducted through an online interview.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• Master's degree in:

  • Aquaculture

  • Fisheries Science

  • Mariculture

  • Geoscience

  • Biological Sciences

  • Allied disciplines

• NET/GATE qualification as prescribed under ANRF/Government of India norms.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Experience in real-time research projects.

• Quality scientific publications related to the project area.

• Experience in:

  • Geospatial data modelling

  • Mariculture biological data handling

  • Scientific writing

  • Publication record

  • Database management

  • Field surveys

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Assist in developing geospatial, techno-economic, and decision-support models for indigenous mariculture technologies.

• Conduct field surveys, stakeholder consultations, data collection, analysis, and validation.

• Support GIS analysis, spatial modelling, database development, AI/ICT applications, and statistical analysis using R/Python.

• Prepare technical reports, research papers, project documentation, and assist in organizing workshops and dissemination activities.

• Perform other project-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator.

• Be willing to travel across India's coastal and maritime regions as required.

Project Assistant (PA)

Applications are also invited for one Project Assistant (PA) position under the same ANRF-funded project. Candidates should refer to the official notification for detailed eligibility criteria, qualifications, and responsibilities for the Project Assistant post.
