The Department of Chemistry, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under an ANRF-funded Prime Minister Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) project. The position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in biosensors, nanotechnology, materials chemistry, and biomedical diagnostics, with the possibility of pursuing a Ph.D. at MNNIT Allahabad.

Fellowship

Candidates qualified through GATE/CSIR-UGC NET/GPAT will receive:

First Two Years

INR 37,000 per month + HRA
(Total approximately INR 44,400 per month)

Third Year

INR 42,000 per month + HRA
(Total approximately INR 50,400 per month)

Essential Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

• Postgraduate degree with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PH candidates) from a UGC-recognized university/institute.

• Valid qualification in GATE / CSIR-UGC NET / GPAT.

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Strong motivation for research and learning advanced techniques.

• Prior experience in:

  • Materials Science

  • Drug Delivery Systems

  • Chemical Delivery Research

  • Biosensor-related research

Ph.D. Opportunity

Selected candidates may register for the Ph.D. programme at MNNIT Allahabad, subject to fulfilling the institute's eligibility requirements.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 28 years as on the last date of application.

• Age relaxation of up to 5 years is applicable for:

  • SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates

  • Women candidates

As per Government of India norms.

Tenure

• Initial appointment for one year.

• Extendable based on satisfactory performance for up to three years.
