Project Title | Development of an Orthotic Auxetic Insole for Preventing the Recurrence of Ulcers in Leprosy Patients – A Feasible Treatment |

Project Objective
The project aims to design and develop an auxetic cellular structure-based insole prototype for enhanced impact mitigation and energy absorption. The research seeks to improve plantar pressure distribution and reduce ground reaction forces during walking and other activities, thereby helping prevent ulcer recurrence in leprosy patients.

Candidates should possess:
Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in Professional Courses such as:
Mechanical Engineering
Computational Mechanics
Engineering Design
Aerospace Engineering
Biomedical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Other relevant specializations
Additionally, candidates must have qualified through one of the following:
National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship)
GATE
OR
Selection through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies such as:
DST
DBT
DAE
DOS
DRDO
MoE
ICAR
ICMR
IITs
IISc
IISERs, etc.
