The selected candidate will conduct research in:

• Nanobiotechnology

• Enzyme engineering

• Related interdisciplinary fields in advanced energy and life sciences

The position also involves contributing to Kyoto University's education, research, and administrative activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

• Hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline.

• Demonstrate the ability to conduct independent, high-quality research.

• Have expertise relevant to biomolecular organization chemistry and associated research areas.

Appointment Details

Research Junior Associate Professor

• Initial contract of 8 years.

• One-time extension of up to 7 years may be granted.

Research Assistant Professor

• Initial contract of 7 years.

• One-time extension of up to 2 years may be granted.

• Expected Start Date: As early as possible.

• Probation Period: 6 months.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary will be determined according to Kyoto University regulations.

• Eligible for MEXT mutual aid association membership, pension, employment insurance, and workers' compensation insurance.
