Jadavpur University is inviting applications for the recruitment of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the ISRO-RESPOND sponsored research project. Eligible and highly motivated candidates interested in advanced power engineering and space technology research are encouraged to apply.

Position Overview

Eligibility Criteria & Requirements

• Essential Qualifications: * Graduate/Post-Graduate Degree in Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an allied discipline from a recognized University or Institute.

  • The candidate must possess a valid GATE qualification as per ISRO/UGC norms.

• Desirable Knowledge: * Strong foundational knowledge in core Power Engineering concepts (e.g., fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, or power systems depending on the specific project scope).

  • Proficiency in relevant computational software, modeling tools, and computer programming.

• Age Limit: Generally not more than 30 years (Age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ST/Women/OBC/PD candidates is applicable as per Government of India/University norms).

Remuneration Details

• Fellowship Amount: Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA (as applicable and subject to standard ISRO RESPOND funding guidelines).
