Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi invites applications from eligible candidates for the positions of Research Associate, Research Assistant and Field Investigator under an ICSSR-sponsored Major Research Project.

The project will be carried out under the supervision of Dr. Lovey Srivastava, Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor, CSPILAS, School of Language, Literature & Culture Studies (SLL&CS), JNU.

Project Title

“The Literature and Culture around Student and Youth Movements in India and Latin America in 20th and 21st Century”

Position Details

1. Research Associate

• Number of Positions: 01

• Monthly Remuneration: ₹47,000

• Qualification: Ph.D. in Social Sciences and Humanities, preferably in:

  • Political Science

  • Media Studies

  • Cultural Studies

  • Sociology

• Minimum 55% marks in MA

• Minimum 2 years of teaching or research experience

2. Research Assistant

• Number of Positions: 01

• Monthly Remuneration: ₹37,000

• Postgraduate degree in a Social Science discipline, preferably Master’s in:

  • Political Science

  • Media Studies

  • Language

  • Literature

  • Sociology

• Minimum 55% marks

• NET / M.Phil. / Ph.D. qualification required

3. Field Investigator

• Number of Positions: 01

• Monthly Remuneration: ₹20,000

• Postgraduate degree in Social Sciences and Humanities, preferably Master’s in:

  • Political Science

  • Media Studies

  • Language

  • Literature

  • Sociology

• Minimum 55% marks

Research Area

The project focuses on the literature, culture, student movements and youth movements in India and Latin America during the 20th and 21st centuries.
