Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, invites applications for the post of Project Associate-I (PA-I) under the Department of Biotechnology (DBT)-funded National Network Project of JNU, New Delhi. The position is available at the School of Computational and Integrative Sciences (SCIS) and offers an excellent opportunity for candidates with backgrounds in life sciences, biotechnology, and bioinformatics to work on cutting-edge computational biology and NGS data analysis.

Project Associate-I (One Position)

Essential Qualification

Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines:

• Life Sciences

• Molecular Biology

• Biotechnology

• Bioinformatics

• Related fields

Desirable Qualifications

Applicants with the following will be preferred:

• Good academic record

• Relevant research experience

• Strong computational biology skills

• Proven experience in various applications of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis

Fellowship and Tenure

• Fellowship/emoluments will be provided as per DBT rules and project sanction.

• The initial appointment will be for six months or as recommended by the Selection Committee.

• The appointment may be extended or curtailed based on project requirements and the candidate’s performance.

• The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Selection Process

• Candidates may be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience, depending on the number of applications received.

• JNU reserves the right to relax qualification requirements for exceptionally qualified candidates.

• Only shortlisted candidates will be informed regarding the interview.

• Interviews may be conducted in online or offline mode.

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
