The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, invites applications for the position of Research Associate-I (RA-I) under a DBT-funded research project at the School of Biotechnology.

Position Overview

Project Details

• Project Title:
  Development of algal opto-biotechnological strategies for production of anti-inflammatory small molecules and micro proteins from green algae

• Department:
  School of Biotechnology, JNU

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification:

• Ph.D. in:

  • Life Sciences

  • Biotechnology

  • Microbiology

  • OR related disciplines

• Strong academic record

• Must have qualification in any of the following:

  • NET (LS)

  • GATE

  • CSIR-JRF

  • Any equivalent national-level exam

Desirable Skills

• Experience in:

  • Molecular Biology

  • Protein Chemistry

  • Cell Biology

Salary

• As per Department of Biotechnology (DBT) norms and eligibility

Appointment Details

• Purely temporary and project-based position

• Co-terminus with the project duration

• Initial appointment for 6 months, extendable based on performance

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview
