IIT Tirupati Invites Applications for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under MoRTH-Funded Project

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati has invited applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under a Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) sponsored research project in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering.

Position Details

• Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

• Number of Vacancies: 02

• Department: Civil & Environmental Engineering

• Project Duration: 2 Years

• Initial Tenure: 6 Months (Extendable based on performance)

Project Title

Mix Design, Structural Performance & Construction Guidelines for UHPC Elements

Fellowship

• Consolidated Salary: INR 37,000 per month + HRA

Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• M.E./M.Tech./M.S. in Structural Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks

• Must satisfy the eligibility criteria for JRF as per DST norms

• Candidates from non-CFTIs should have qualified GATE/CSIR-UGC NET/UGC-NET or any other national-level examination conducted by Central Government departments/agencies with a minimum of 60% marks

Age Limit:

• Upper Age: 38 years

• Age relaxation:

  • OBC/EWS: 3 years

  • SC/ST/PwD: 5 years

Project Responsibilities

Selected candidates will be involved in:

• Experimental investigation of Ultra-High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) girders

• Specimen preparation, laboratory testing, instrumentation, and data acquisition

• Structural performance evaluation

• Collection and compilation of data for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

Candidates with prior experience in experimental structural engineering, concrete technology, UHPC, or laboratory testing will be preferred.
