Project Title

Reliability Enhancement of Short Circuit Tester (SCT) in Battery Manufacturing Process


About the Project

The project aims to significantly improve the reliability and performance of Short Circuit Testers (SCTs) used in battery manufacturing. The selected candidate will work on developing enhanced methodologies for data acquisition, analysis, feature extraction, and predictive modelling to optimize testing processes and support industrial applications.


Key Responsibilities

The selected Project Officer will be involved in:

  • Data acquisition using Python/SCPI commands

  • Statistical data analysis and interpretation

  • Feature extraction from waveform datasets

  • Conducting experiments at ARE&M facilities, including battery teardown activities for correlation studies

  • Developing decision-tree-based classifiers

  • Preparing technical documentation, including SOPs and reports

  • Assisting in technology transfer and industry-related activities

  • Supporting research and development activities in battery manufacturing technologies


Essential Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent disciplines with a minimum of 60% marks

OR

  • M.Sc. in Electronics

  • M.E./M.Tech in relevant disciplines

Preferred Skills

Candidates with prior experience in the following areas will be preferred:

  • Data acquisition systems

  • Python scripting

  • Basic electronics

  • Statistical data analysis

  • Signal processing and feature extraction techniques


Relaxation Criteria

Minimum CGPA Requirements

  • OBC/EWS: 5.5 CGPA

  • SC/ST/PwD: 5.5 CGPA

Minimum Marks Requirements

  • OBC/EWS: 55%

  • SC/ST/PwD: 55%

Maximum Age: 45 Years (as on the date of advertisement)
