IIT Roorkee Invites Applications for Research Associate Position under Maitri Grant Programme

The Department of Architecture & Planning, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, has invited applications for the position of Research Associate under a sponsored research project funded by the Maitri Grant Programme (Government of Australia). The project focuses on sports planning, urban futures, and international collaboration between India and Australia. Eligible candidates with a postgraduate degree in Planning and a valid GATE score are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess:

• Postgraduate degree in any discipline of Planning

• Valid GATE Score

Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to enroll for a Ph.D. at IIT Roorkee or on a similar research topic.

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Accomplishing project deliverables

• Project reporting and documentation

• Workshop and media coordination

• Liaison with research collaborators and funding agencies

• Literature review and research synthesis

• Data collection and field visits

• Research analysis and academic publication

Application Process

Interested candidates should submit their application to the Principal Investigator via email or in person before the deadline.

• Relevant supporting documents

Candidates shortlisted for the interview must produce the original certificates for verification.

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on interview performance.

• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

• Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates with equal qualifications and experience, as per institute norms.

Ph.D. Opportunity

The selected candidate may get an opportunity to pursue a Ph.D. at IIT Roorkee, subject to fulfilling the institute's admission requirements.
