Project Title
“Development of a Reconfigurable Cable-Driven Parallel Robot for House Construction”
The selected JRF will contribute to research and development activities related to robotics, mechanical systems, automation and cable-driven parallel robotic systems for construction applications.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
B.Tech. / M.Tech., as applicable under the prescribed eligibility requirements.
A Master’s Degree in Engineering / Technology in relevant disciplines such as:
Electrical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Related areas
Candidates should have First Class in both UG and PG programmes.
Candidates should be GATE / NET qualified for the JRF position.
Alternative Eligibility
Candidates who have completed their Master’s Degree in Engineering from a Centrally Funded Institute and secured admission through a national-level examination may also be considered as per the conditions mentioned in the advertisement.
Desirable Qualifications
Preference may be given to candidates with:
Academic or research experience in Robotics.
Mechanical system design and automation experience.
Knowledge of control systems and mechatronics.
Research exposure related to cable-driven robots or parallel robotic systems.
Strong technical and research aptitude.
Relevant project or laboratory experience.
Key Responsibilities
The selected JRF will primarily be involved in:
Carrying out research activities under the sponsored project.
Supporting design and development of the proposed robotic system.
Conducting experiments and technical analysis.
Assisting with research documentation and project reporting.
Contributing to research publications and other project outputs.
Performing other research-related responsibilities assigned by the Principal Investigator.
PhD Opportunity
The selected JRF may get an opportunity for Ph.D. admission at IIT Roorkee, subject to fulfilling the Institute’s applicable admission requirements.
