The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for the position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under an ICMR-funded research project in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering. Essential Qualifications

Applicants must possess:

Option 1

  • First Class Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as:

    • Life Sciences

    • Microbiology

    • Biotechnology

    • Molecular Biology

    • Biochemistry

    • Virology

    • Or related areas

OR

Option 2

  • Second Class M.Sc. in any field of Life Sciences

  • Ph.D. in a relevant discipline


Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be involved in advanced research activities including:

  • Molecular Biology techniques

  • Gene cloning and protein expression

  • Molecular virology studies

  • cDNA preparation

  • RT-PCR experiments

  • Mammalian cell culture

  • In-vitro virus propagation and quantification assays

  • Protein production and purification

  • Vaccine development-related research


Fellowship & Benefits
