The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee), Department of Civil Engineering, invites applications from Indian nationals for a Project Fellow position under a DRDO-sponsored research project.

Position Overview

Project Details

• Project Title:
  Object Detection using Hyperspectral Remote Sensing

• Sponsor:
  DRDO, New Delhi

• Principal Investigator:
  Prof. Alok Bhardwaj

• Co-Principal Investigators:
  Prof. Siddhartha Khare & Prof. M.V. Sunil Krishna

Eligibility Criteria

• Ph.D. in Engineering or Science

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in hyperspectral remote sensing

Fresh Ph.D. graduates with exceptional publication records may also apply

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with hyperspectral data analysis

• Knowledge of:

  • Spectro-radiometer data collection

  • RTM code development

  • Water vapour and aerosol retrievals

  • Object detection using hyperspectral data

Salary & Benefits

• INR 1,00,000 per month + HRA

Duration

• 2 Years (Project Duration)

Job Responsibilities

• Manage and collect field data using spectro-radiometer

• Develop RTM codes and perform data analysis

• Conduct research in hyperspectral remote sensing

• Publish research in reputed journals and file patents
