IIT Kharagpur Junior Research Fellowship 2026

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur invites applications for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) under an ISRO-supported project focused on developing climate-resilient transportation systems.

The project will use satellite imagery, spatial analysis, GIS, and predictive modelling to assess the impact of monsoon-induced flooding on access to essential services.

Research Focus

The project aims to:

Eligibility

Applicants should possess either:

• A postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences

OR

• A graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant professional discipline

Candidates should also hold a valid NET, GATE, or equivalent national-level qualification, as applicable.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 28 years.

Age relaxation will be applicable according to sponsoring-agency rules.
