The Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT Jammu) invites applications from interested candidates for 01 Project Associate-I position under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase-III.

Position Overview

Project Title

Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) Project Phase-III

The selected Project Associate-I will contribute to project activities related to information security, cybersecurity awareness, operating systems and penetration-testing technologies.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• B.Tech./B.E. in:

  • Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)

  • Information Technology (IT)

  • Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)

  • Electrical Engineering (EE)

  • Equivalent relevant discipline

Candidates should also have:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

• Experience working with:

  • Android

  • Linux

  • Windows operating systems

• Working knowledge of Information Security.

• Familiarity with penetration testing tools.

• Good communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications

Candidates with the following background may be particularly suitable:

• Practical exposure to cybersecurity tools and techniques.

• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.

• Knowledge of multiple operating systems.

• Information security project experience.

• Cybersecurity awareness and training-related experience.

• Strong technical documentation and communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

The selected Project Associate-I is expected to contribute to the requirements of the ISEA Project Phase-III, including activities related to:

• Information security and cybersecurity.

• Security tools and penetration-testing environments.

• Android, Linux and Windows systems.

• Technical support and implementation of project activities.

• Documentation and coordination related to the project.

• Other responsibilities assigned under the ISEA project.

Remuneration

The selected candidate will receive:

INR 42,000 per month (Consolidated)

The initial appointment will be for 1 year and may be extended depending on:

• Satisfactory performance, and

• Continuation of the project.

The appointment will end with the project if the project concludes earlier.
