Research Project

Project Title:

"VLSI Design, FPGA Prototyping, and ASIC Design of a Wavelet Transform-based Wideband Spectrum Sensor for Cognitive Radio Network"

Research Areas

The selected candidate will work in the following domains:

• Digital Circuits and Systems

• Hardware-Friendly Algorithm Design

• Digital VLSI Architecture Design

• FPGA-Based System Design

• ASIC Chip Design

• Signal Processing for Cognitive Radio Networks

• Spectrum Sensing

• Digital Signal Processing (DSP)

• Wireless Communication

Fellowship

• INR 37,000 per month

• HRA as per institute norms

Duration

• Initially for one year.

• Extendable based on satisfactory performance.

• Appointment is co-terminus with the project.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• M.E./M.Tech./MS(R) or equivalent degree in CSE, ECE, EE, Microelectronics, VLSI Design, or allied disciplines.

• Minimum 65% marks or equivalent grade.

• Valid GATE qualification or qualification through a National-Level Examination conducted by a Central Government Department/Agency.

Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST/PH candidates as per institute norms.

Candidates with knowledge or experience in the following areas will be preferred:

• VLSI Design and Verification

• FPGA Development

• ASIC Design Flow

• Digital Signal Processing

• Wireless Communication Systems

• Embedded Hardware Design

• Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools
