“Bilingual (English and Hindi) LLM Framework for Real-Time Interpretation of Tailing Dam Break Simulations for Improved Emergency Planning and Decision Support”
The project aims to develop an AI-powered bilingual framework that integrates Large Language Models (LLMs) with engineering simulations to improve disaster preparedness, emergency response, and decision-making during tailings dam failure scenarios.

Essential Qualifications
Candidates must possess any one of the following:
Option 1
Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Option 2
M.Tech. with 3 years of research, teaching, or design & development experience
in any of the following areas:
Civil Engineering
Water Resources Engineering
River Engineering
Hydraulic Engineering
Earth Sciences
Disaster Mitigation and Management
Agricultural Engineering & Technology
Mechanical Engineering
Additional Requirement
At least one research paper published in a SCI/SCIE-indexed journal
Desirable Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates having:
Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software
Numerical modelling and simulation expertise
Knowledge of Machine Learning (ML)
Knowledge of Deep Learning (DL)
Experience in AI-assisted engineering applications
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be involved in:
Literature review and technical research
Physical laboratory experiments
CFD simulations using open-source software
Analysis of tailings dam break scenarios
LLM prompt engineering and model interpretation
Code and text generation workflows
User interface development
Software testing and validation
Technical documentation and reporting
Age Limit
Maximum age: 35 years at the time of appointment
