Project Title

“Bilingual (English and Hindi) LLM Framework for Real-Time Interpretation of Tailing Dam Break Simulations for Improved Emergency Planning and Decision Support”

The project aims to develop an AI-powered bilingual framework that integrates Large Language Models (LLMs) with engineering simulations to improve disaster preparedness, emergency response, and decision-making during tailings dam failure scenarios.

Position Details

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess any one of the following:

Option 1

• Ph.D. degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline

Option 2

• M.Tech. with 3 years of research, teaching, or design & development experience

in any of the following areas:

• Civil Engineering

• Water Resources Engineering

• River Engineering

• Hydraulic Engineering

• Earth Sciences

• Disaster Mitigation and Management

• Agricultural Engineering & Technology

• Mechanical Engineering

Additional Requirement

• At least one research paper published in a SCI/SCIE-indexed journal

Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates having:

• Experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software

• Numerical modelling and simulation expertise

• Knowledge of Machine Learning (ML)

• Knowledge of Deep Learning (DL)

• Experience in AI-assisted engineering applications

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be involved in:

• Literature review and technical research

• Physical laboratory experiments

• CFD simulations using open-source software

• Analysis of tailings dam break scenarios

• LLM prompt engineering and model interpretation

• Code and text generation workflows

• User interface development

• Software testing and validation

• Technical documentation and reporting

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years at the time of appointment
