Job Responsibilities

The selected Junior Research Fellow will be involved in:

  • Field investigations related to underground coal mining.

  • Data collection and site investigations in mining areas.

  • Spending approximately 10–15 days in the field for project-related activities.

  • Numerical simulations and computational studies.

  • Data analysis and interpretation.

  • Preparation of technical reports and research publications.

  • Filing patents and supporting project-related research outputs.


Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • B.Tech./B.E. in:

    • Mining Engineering

    • Civil Engineering

Mandatory Requirement

  • Valid GATE qualification.

Eligible Candidates

  • Candidates awaiting M.Tech. results may also apply, provided they possess a valid GATE score.


Desirable Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with:

  • M.Tech. specialization in:

    • Mining Engineering

    • Rock Mechanics

    • Geotechnical Engineering

    • Related disciplines

Preferred Skills

Experience or knowledge in:

  • Underground Mining Methods

  • Numerical Modelling

  • Rock Mechanics Investigations

  • Underground Excavation Studies

  • Mining Simulation Software
