The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad (IIT ISM Dhanbad) has invited applications for the position of Research Associate-I (RA) under a sponsored project funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA), Government of India, under the Centre of Excellence (CoE) Scheme.

The project focuses on capacity building and IT training for tribal students in Jharkhand and offers an excellent opportunity for candidates interested in education, skill development, project management, and community outreach.

Position Overview

Job Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Promoting the training program in tribal schools across Jharkhand.

• Conducting pre- and post-program Randomized Control Trials (RCTs).

• Facilitating the establishment of problem-solving centres in different regions of Jharkhand.

• Coordinating classes and examinations for selected tribal students.

• Liaising with industries and organizations for signing MoUs.

• Managing project documentation and report preparation.

• Supporting the successful implementation of capacity-building initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess any one of the following degrees from a recognized university or institution:

• M.Tech.

• M.E.

• MBA

• M.Sc.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology

• Medical Degree or equivalent qualification

Age Limit

Age relaxation, if applicable, will be as per Government of India norms.

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive:

• Consolidated salary of ₹58,000 per month

• 16% House Rent Allowance (HRA)

• TA/DA support for official outstation travel

• Opportunity to work on a high-impact national capacity-building initiative
