Project Title

Agentic Foundation-Model Platform for Precision Soil-Crop Intelligence and Farmer-Facing GenAI Advisories

About the Project

The project aims to develop an AI/ML-driven agentic foundation-model platform using:

• Deep learning

• Multimodal data fusion

• Generative artificial intelligence

• Soil and crop data analysis

• Farmer-focused advisory systems

• Scalable machine learning models

• Data-driven decision support for precision agriculture

Essential Qualification

Applicants should possess:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Technology, or a related field

• First Division, as defined by the awarding institution or university

• A valid GATE qualification in the relevant discipline

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to:

• Design and develop AI and machine learning models

• Work with multimodal soil, crop, and environmental datasets

• Build generative AI-based farmer advisory solutions

• Develop scalable decision-support systems

• Conduct research and experimentation

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and publications

• Support prototype development and project documentation

Duration

The appointment will initially be for one year and may be extended for another two years based on performance.

The selected candidate may also be encouraged to register for the PhD programme at IIT Indore as per institute norms. If admitted, the fellowship may be extended for the duration of the PhD programme in accordance with applicable rules.
